"I just wanted to tell you how much our brief time together influenced me...I literally carried your tip sheet folded up in the pocket of my pants and I would try to absorb what was around me a bit before shooting... I really appreciated and respect your whole approach to finding the rhythms in nature and being a part of it...."

Audio/Visual Presentations

The extended name of my company, EarthSong, is “Photographic Rhythms in Nature”. This name was Earth Song Photographynot given lightly, for it is my belief – supported by the reality of quantum physics – that matter and energy, and thus images and sound, are completely interconnected. Each is a powerful medium by itself, but together they evoke an awareness of the essential oneness we all share. This is why I find such pleasure in creating audio/visual presentations to share with groups of all kinds for all occasions.

I have put together an assortment of images on varying themes that relate to locations, from the Colorado Plateau to the coast of Maine, or to concepts such as water and light. I have choseEarth Song Photographyn the musical pieces which accompany each assortment so as to blend the two together for the maximum impact on the eyes, the mind, and the heart.

Some of my past venues include the Intentional Growth Center at Junaluska Assembly; Givens Estates in Asheville, North Carolina; Wilderness Wildlife Week in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee; Wildflower Pilgrimage in Gatlinburg, Tennessee; Transylvania County (NC) Center for the Arts; HaywEarth Song Photographyood Waterways Association in Waynesville, North Carolina; and many others.

If you have an organization or group that you would like to inspire with the beauty of the natural world in a context of thoughtful music and images of nature, contact me. Programs can vary in length from 30 minutes to one-and-a-half hours and can be presented in classrooms, meeting rooms, and small auditoriums.

As a component of my commercial work, I am also available to create special audio/visual programming on a chosen theme or subject, which may or may not involve images purely from nature. For example, programs on particular conservation/preservation/stewardship projects, or cultural heritage activities, are of particular interest to me, as are environmental education programs and those emphasizing creativity and the human spirit.

A picture may be worth a thousand words, or only five hundred; I have no way of measuring. What I do know is that together images and music are a powerful statement of what is beautiful in our world; a statement that can be shared time and again.
